Design for Humanity

We believe that designers can improve human health, life satisfaction, happiness, subjective well-being and psychological experience through human-centred design.  Extending from last year’s theme – Design for Well-being,  “Design for Humanity” was set as the theme for this year that covers an idea embodied by works aligned with the social needs of today as a mean to promote a better living.

Emerging Design Talents 2021

Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) (Lee Wai Lee) presented our annual design show – Emerging Design Talents (EDT) 2021: Design for Humanity in June.  EDT is a platform for young and talented designers to showcase their innovative thinking and creative flair.  In this EDT website, we will showcase and celebrate the achievements of our graduates across over 30 programmes from Architecture, Interior and Product Design, Communication Design, Digital Media, Fashion and Image Design, Information Technology, Interdisciplinary Studies and Jewellery Arts and Design.  In addition, this website will feature our activities about Global Partnership, Industry Collaboration and Advanced Design Studio projects.  If you are an employer looking for design talents, please visit the Graduate Directory.

We collaborate with the following UK universities to deliver our top-up degree programmes.
