PROJECT BACKGROUND
This project provides solutions for fashion design in the area of healthcare fashion. Series of designs including womenswear, menswear, and accessory items were developed to explore the use of natural herbal healing in fashion. Infused with the crafty aesthetics and attitude towards Wabi-sabi and Zen, the fashion aims at lowering the burden of anxiety disorders through application of calm color and aroma from natural dye.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Targeting users’ expectations on comfortability and quality of life, the series of designs not only focus on depression but also concerns the people who are allergic to leather or plastic. The use of Bioplastic – Kombucha Vegan leather with fermenting sugared tea celebrates a symbiotic relationship between bacteria and yeast, which takes the meaning of fashion to a level beyond protection and appearance.
