Songlish Campaign for Spotify
Facilitating interactions among Spotify users
Spotify’s listeners love to curate their own playlists for song sharing, recommendations with friends or listen to recommendations made by their favorite artists and celebrities. From listing to songs chosen by themselves and others, users can establish their own public identity while discovering others’. This project is set to investigate how Spotify can make listening to music a social experience by enabling people to share songs that are meaningful to them.
By using Songlish, a user interface design on Spotify, one can generate stickers through a function similar to sending messages in WhatsApp. Recipients of the stickers will be able to listen to part of the songs after clicking on them. Songlish also features Instagram Profile Song Player that allows others to learn about the users’ music taste, life experience, or emotions. With the use of music as an effective communication language, this design facilitates music recommendation and enhances sharing of experience.
