PROJECT BACKGROUND
Wo Kee Lung Chaozhou Cake Food Shop (WKL) is a local traditional Chaozhou cake store established in 1948. During the 1980s, it was well-known as one of the best traditional cake shops in Hong Kong. However, as the social trends have changed and the brand image has fallen behind in the competitive cake shop market in recent decades, only old customers and neighbors tend to purchase products from WKL nowadays.
PROJECT CONCEPT
When developing this project, 4 promotional steps were developed, namely creating a social media account, opening a bakery workshop, producing a promotional clip, and setting up a booth in the market. Through these various platforms, WKL can connect with a new, younger target audience. Ultimately, we hope the traditions and great tastes of Chaozhou cakes will be passed down to future generations.
