Hong Kong Font Archive
An archive that connects people and typography
PROJECT BACKGROUND
Chinese typography, a key element in the visual culture of Hong Kong, can be found in different forms and shapes in every corner of the city, especially in some older districts such as Shum Shui Po. However, this significant element is often neglected and lost during the process of urban renewal, causing a sense of social segregation between the old and new. As a public typography archive, this project not only aims at recording and displaying this endangered heritage of Hong Kong, but is also trying to bridge and connect people together through the appreciation of these fascinating works of art.
