PROJECT BACKGROUND
A smart home is designed with lighting, heating, and electronic devices that can be controlled remotely with a phone or a computer. There are six aspects of smart city evaluation, namely Smart Economy, Smart People, Smart Governance, Smart Mobility, Smart Environment, and Smart Living. As the indicators of Smart Living include residential quality, the popularization of smart homes can effectively promote the development of smart cities. For several years, the Government of Hong Kong has been committed to promoting smart cities. Medical care, finance, transportation, and energy technology are important focuses in the development blueprint.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Our products target residents of one-person unit houses. Hong Kong has been facing the problem of uneven distribution of land resources, and the lack of housing supply has led to increasingly narrow housing space. With reference to the Housing Affairs Panel of the Legislative Council, the maximum area of a one-person public housing unit reduced from 19.8 square meters ( 213 square feet) before 1992 to 17.81 square meters (about 191 square feet) after 1992.
