Freaks Out
PROJECT BACKGROUND
Produced by Chau Nok Hin and with friendly support from HKDI graduate Liu Kam Yi and Kenliu204, the project is entitled ‘Freaks out’. Cantopop is the mainstream music genre in the local market. People in Hong Kong seldom listen to the music of other genres and hence have less understanding of other genres.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Cantopop is the mainstream musical genre in the local market. My project is an EDM project highlighting some significant timbres which I believe the Cantopop audience have no knowledge of. Using Future Bass, House, Slap House, etc., to embody the pace of living in Hong Kong is what I intend to do. Hopefully, the new sound in the music will attract the people of Hong Kong to listen to EDM music and other various kinds of music besides Cantopop.
