PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Kwun Tong Road Children’s Playground, located next to Kwun Tong Road and Ping Shek Estate, has a history of over 80 years. However, the children’s playground remains unpopular and underused when compared to other parks in the same neighborhood. A revitalization scheme has therefore been proposed to create a vibrant space where residents of all ages can gather and play. The design aims to transform the park into a user-friendly public space that will become part of the residents’ lives. Thus, designed as a physically, socially, and emotionally inclusive place in the urban area, the park invites more people to interact in the venue.
