The abilities of people with disabilities in Hong Kong are often underestimated and discriminated against, which leads to a high unemployment rate among this group of individuals. By proposing a new series of household products for the Factory of the Blind, this project aims to secure employability of the disabled people. Meanwhile, it also promotes a positive image for people with disabilities. I hope this project will encourage people to recognize and respect the contribution of this disadvantaged group in the society.
Just as the slogan of “People with disabilities are like dots of city light shining in the dark”, we used dots as the main visual element to create the brand logo and the main graphics with different design items applied, which include products, packaging, posters, exhibition display, and a website for online purchases, and donations.
