PROJECT BACKGROUND
With the support of Hang Seng Bank, ‘Go! GingerOnion College’ is a project extension for the ‘Go! GingerOnion’, a social media platform for young people. To win the game, the students have to make good use of available resources, equip themselves with the necessary skills, and cooperate with others. Throughout the game, they will learn the truth of ‘everybody is good for something’, a renowned Chinese saying.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The design and launch of the new board game is an interdisciplinary project. While IVE/PR students were responsible for the game design and promotion, HKDI/Illustration students designed the overall packing. After repeated trials, the new board game was launched last December. Apart from producing a series of short videos and prepared different social media posts, the IVE/PR students have also organized trial activities in different secondary schools to promote the board game.
