The Beauty of Tibet

Fashion collection inspired by Tibetan culture

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The women from Tibet earn their living by using yak fur to make garments for supporting their families. Inspired by yak hair, I used wool hair to create felting as the main decorative element of my collection. Through my work, I hope to gain more people’s attention to the unique culture and beauty of Tibetan costumes.

PROJECT CONCEPT

I do not just admire Tibetan culture, but I have also been inspired by a character named Zhang Qiling from my favorite book called 'Time Raiders'. Tibetan clothing can give people a feeling of natural beauty represented by the combination of Tibetan cultural patterns, colors, and fabric texture. I hope to present the uniqueness of Tibetan beauty in my new collection.
