PROJECT BACKGROUND
For some reason, the local film industry began to decline in the late 1990s. Hong Kong films, which once ranked high at the local box office, are now replaced by Hollywood films and are no longer favored by young people. To preserve our valuable culture, local films should be promoted and supported.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Through researching different contexts (mostly from classic movies or socially relevant films), I hope to find some classic shots or scenes that resonate with young viewers and redraw a series of illustrations in a playful style. To fortify the images, postcards are used as a deliverable and collectible medium.
