Encouraging young adults to face the future
PROJECT BACKGROUND
Young adults’ emotions are affected by the political movements and COVID-19 in recent years, and they often feel hopeless and frustrated about the future. Some of them even have depression and had thoughts of committing suicide. Their long-term suppressed emotions shall not be ignored. However, how can we remain hopeful under adverse situations?
PROJECT CONCEPT
The target audience of this project is young adults in Hong Kong aged between 18 and 35. The storybook used a children’s book approach to lead readers into the world of fairy tales so that they can temporarily get away from reality. The key messages of this story are ‘you are not alone’, and ‘there is hope if you hold on’. I hope the readers will be comforted and encouraged by the messages.
