Brighter is a board game designed for people who recently suffered from visual impairment. The purpose of the game is to train their auditory and tactile senses in order to help them adapt to their new lives and reintegrate into the society as soon as possible. Besides, winning the games by using these senses can build their self-confidence. Meanwhile, their family and friends can also play along. Apart from building a better relationship, players can also experience how sight is perceived by visually impaired persons so they can better empathize with them.
Brighter uses tinted colors to bring out happy and positive feelings. Meanwhile, icons and colors that contrast with the background are used in the graphic on the card. While helping people with low vision to sense the differences while touching the cards, the face of the character also matches with the shape on the upper right of the card. Hence, it is easier to recognize the series that players have to collect.
